• State examination as a translator in Darmstadt, specialist subject: Business
• State examination as an interpreter in Darmstadt, specialist subject: Law
• Authorised and sworn in as a translator and interpreter for English by the Darmstadt Regional Court
• Member (and board member for several years) of the German professional association BDÜ (Bundesverband der Übersetzer und Dolmetscher e.V.)
• Qualified member (MITI) of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) in the UK
• Member and chairperson of the network for court translators and interpreters, VGDUE, in Frankfurt
